In a surprising turn of events, Rujira Banerjee, the wife of Trinamool Congress' General Secretary, Abhishek Banerjee, was detained at Kolkata Airport on Monday morning.

She was stopped by the immigration department while attempting to board a flight to Dubai. The reason behind her detention was the issuance of a lookout circular (LOC) by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against her.

Accompanied by her two children, Rujira had arrived at Kolkata Airport with the intention of traveling to Dubai. However, her plans were abruptly disrupted when immigration officials discovered the LOC issued by the ED, effectively preventing her from leaving the country.
